Mirongo River

Mirongo River runs through Mwanza city. It is very dirty because people dump waste into the river, especially when it rains. During the rains people empty their dirty toilet water into the river. This can affect their health and cause illnesses like cholera. We spoke to people working beside the river and they want the government to build a big bridge in order to avoid floods, which happen when it rains. They also want new places to dump their waste.
