Niamey is experimenting for a few time the use of solar optic lights wich were designed in the context untimely power cuts, causing huge disturbances in traffic. Since their implementation, we can observe that there is a constant flow of traffic in that area. Although being the ultimate solution to reduce congestion and the risk of traffic accidents, these solar optical lights are unfortunately installed in this only place in the capital for more than a year.
